What is Invisalign® treatment?
Invisalign® treatment uses a series of discreet clear aligners to guide your smile into alignment. These aligners look a bit like thin sports mouthguards and are custom-made for your precise prescription.
Invisalign® clear aligners can be removed during meetings, important social events and during brushing and flossing, so you don’t need to worry about treatment getting in the way of your routine.
How does Invisalign® treatment work?
Invisalign® treatment starts with a consultation where we assess your teeth and take digital impressions using our iTero digital scanner. This gives us an accurate picture of where your teeth currently sit and how much movement is required to achieve a straight smile.
We will use the impressions to design your treatment programme and custom aligners. Each set of aligners is shaped a bit differently to guide your teeth into position. Over the course of treatment, you will be asked to change your aligners every 1-2 weeks.
Types of Invisalign® treatments for adults
Depending on the needs of your smile, we have three Invisalign® treatment programmes available.
Invisalign® Comprehensive
Invisalign® Comprehensive is the full Invisalign® treatment designed to treat more complex orthodontic problems. Treatment can take anywhere between 12 and 24 months.
Invisalign® Lite
If you only have mild to moderate issues in your front six teeth, we can use Invisalign® Lite to align your smile in as little as 6 months.
Invisalign® Express
Invisalign® Express is the fastest Invisalign® treatment option. It is used for treating mild misalignments in the front six teeth (such as crooked front teeth or teeth that have relapsed after previous orthodontic treatment). Invisalign® Express can achieve results in just 3 months!
