One solution lies with the extremely discreet Incognito™ lingual braces. Incognito lingual braces are fitted to the inside surface of your teeth, (the surface your tongue rests against) which makes them virtually invisible to everyone around you. The brackets are small, comfortable to wear, and offer great results.

How do Incognito lingual braces work?

Incognito™ is a high-tech lingual brace that provides a low-profile treatment option with maximum comfort. Using the bracket and archwire system of traditional metal braces, Incognito lingual braces sit on the inside surface of your teeth and work to gradually move your teeth into position. Each of the gold alloy brackets that are fitted to your teeth are individually made using advanced CAD/CAM computer technology. This creates extremely accurate brackets that give excellent tooth control.

Since the brackets are attached to the inside surface of the teeth, there is usually a short period of speech disturbance and tongue irritation. This period of adaptation normally resolves in less than a fortnight.

As with any orthodontic treatment, the primary reason you’d choose Incognito lingual braces is to get a straighter smile and the confidence that comes along with an invisible orthodontic solution.

It’s important to note that lingual braces work just as well as traditional fixed braces, which are attached to the outer surface of your teeth. And as with other kinds of braces, your teeth will gradually shift into their ideal position over the course of your treatment.

Who are Incognito lingual braces suitable for?

They won’t impact on your appearance, making them an ideal orthodontic option for working professionals or school-age children who prefer a more discreet solution for dental imperfections both big and small.

Incognito lingual braces also have a ‘Lite’ version available. This option is used to correct the front six or eight teeth and is ideal for simple corrections to your smile.
