Indirect bonding

Brace-fitting appointments made simple!

We want your treatment at Pallant Orthodontics to be as efficient and comfortable as possible. That's why we’ve decided to introduce the technique of indirect bonding at our practice. Indirect bonding makes starting treatment with fixed braces easier than ever.

What is indirect bonding?

Indirect bonding allows your Specialist Orthodontist to place all of your brackets at once, reducing the time it takes to fit your fixed braces by 60%! Not only is indirect bonding much faster, it also ensures proper bracket placement on each individual tooth.

How does indirect bonding work?

To start the process of indirect bonding, we first need a mould of your teeth. Once we’ve created an accurate model of your smile in our lab, we can position each bracket precisely where it needs to go on each tooth. Then, we will make a custom tray that allows us to transfer the brackets from the model to your teeth.

After your custom tray is complete, we will schedule you in for a fitting appointment. Because all your brackets are already in the precise position needed for fitting, we can apply all your brackets at one time – so it only takes 15-25 minutes to complete!

Benefits of indirect bonding

Benefits of indirect bonding

More accurate: We can visualise every angle and detail on our lab model to ensure the more efficient placement of each bracket.

More secure: Because the adhesives are applied in a consistent way, and your brackets spend less time in contact with saliva during fitting, there is less chance of loose brackets during treatment.

More swift: It takes less than half the usual time to fit your braces when using indirect bonding.
